About Us - Services
The main purpose of SculpturePlace is to bring artists and prospective purchasers together. Showing a range of the best contemporary practice will help to broaden perceptions of what sculpture is and what it can do. It is hoped this will encourage a bolder approach to acquisition and commissioning by private individuals as well as corporate or public bodies.
To help support this process, a flexible range of services is available through SculpturePlace. These will be tailored to individual circumstances and requirements and could include the following:
- Site visits and advice;
- Preparation of shortlists of suitable sculptures;
- Negotiation of terms with artists (for example the hire of works and the spreading of payment over a fixed period);
- Organisation and management of temporary exhibitions; and
- Design and management of a consultation process within larger organisations leading to the development of a brief, the selection of an artist and project management.

At the simplest level we will pass on your enquiry and you can then deal directly with the artist or, if there is one, their representative. SculpturePlace is owned by Ice House Designs which was formed in the mid-eighties as an Interior Design Partnership. Since 1991 it has been run by Anna Stamatiou. Since 1995 its focus has been on contemporary sculpture. |
